BATON
Developed over twenty years to equip next generation!
-
Structure
The Programme contains four six-month semesters, each culminating in a Residential Weekend. For the Baton Leadership Award, participants must complete all four semesters. The fourth semester in particular includes a rigour of assessment appropriate for anyone preparing for senior leadership.
Each semester contains a set of three stand-alone, concurrent and individually assessed Guided Study Modules. (GSMs). Each set of GSMs is balanced to combine theory and practice, and feeds into the Residential Week-ends which are also opened out to local church leaders and emerging leaders who may benefit from the equipping sessions provided.
-
Assessment
To receive the Baton Award, participants must achieve all of the following:
•All GSM Assessments passed. These may be essays, course notes, multiple choice tests or practical assignments, as appropriate to different modules.
• Satisfactory Church Supervisor’s report. This will require active engagement in local activities, regular supervision meetings and cooperation with the evaluation process.
• Residential Weekend attendance. Preparation for and participation in all Group Learning activities.
