REUNION 2026: More Than a Gathering …

REUNION 2026 was, without question, a time of fellowship, laughter, and joyful connection, but it was also so much more. It became a spiritually significant space where our children encountered God in deeply personal and transformative ways. As we reflect on the time shared, there is a strong sense that something significant took place, not just in activities, but in hearts.

Over the course of the event, we ran five sessions for children aged 4 through to Year 6, with between 88 and 90 attending each session. ACUK children’s ministry is focused on seeing children Transformed for Christ Through Discipleship, it was a privilege to create space for them to engage deeply with God. Through prayer, praise, and worship, the children connected meaningfully with the Holy Spirit.

We were blessed by the ministry of Olly and Helen from Children Can (https://www.childrencan.co.uk), who guided the children through our theme: 110 Reasons Why We Believe the Bible and Jesus.

Like skilled detectives, the children delved deep into truths about the Bible, God’s love, and His redemptive plan for humanity. They explored what it means to be forgiven, to be known by God, to know Him personally, and to live as disciples.

We were also blessed by Emanuela, a missionary home on leave from YWAM in Gadeok, South Korea

(https://www.courageouslywayfaring.co.uk), who shared her testimony of becoming a disciple at the age of four and how God led her through life-shaping experiences into full-time mission.

Discipleship in action formed the basis of discussion and prayer. In the very first session some made decisions to follow Christ. The children returned to share testimonies of how God had begun to speak to them personally, some felt called to mission, some felt kinder towards their siblings; some shared how God had healed them after another child had prayed for them and many children received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

There were the tears; tears not of sadness, but of joy, release, and encounter. These are moments that will stay with us.

We danced. We laughed. We played games. But above all, the children left with Jesus on their lips and in their hearts. That is the lasting fruit of REUNION.

A special highlight of the final evening was the powerful performance of The Fisherman’s Tail by 4Front Theatre (https://www.4front-theatre.com) a fitting and memorable conclusion to a time already rich with meaning.

I would like to also thank Stephen and Tanya from Child Evangelism Fellowship, Ireland https://youtu.be/hWnFAleLi4I?si=aMEnO0mZ59BvWpft for gifting the children with the Wordless wrist bands and accompanying bookmarks.

It cannot be denied that REUNION fostered a real sense of connection, not only among the children but also within the team that came together to support them. There was unity, purpose, and a shared desire to see lives grow in faith.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to this vision: intentional care, transformational discipleship. Our children are not waiting to grow into spiritual capacity, they already have it. They can encounter Jesus just as deeply as teens and adults. It may look different, there may be paint, crayons, and glue involved, but the encounter is no less real.

This is the heart of what we are building, a space where care meets calling.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the NLT for creating the opportunity for us to gather in this way. It is no small thing to host a space where children can grow spiritually, feel safe, and experience God. We are equally grateful to every individual who worked willingly, tirelessly, and often unseen behind the scenes in the lead-up to the conference, and to those who generously gave their time to serve and minister to the children. Your contribution was invaluable. It was truly a tremendous blessing.

Thank you to everyone who got involved! Let’s keep going.
